Surplus Property

The Surplus Property Management Office of the Arizona Department of Administration, more popularly known as "Surplus Property," is responsible for receiving, warehousing, and redistributing personal property that has been marked as surplus to the State's needs. This is the designated agency to distribute all federal surplus for the State of Arizona.

We can be reached at [email protected] or (602) 542-5701.

Surplus Property also screens, warehouses, and distributes Federal government surplus property allocated from military installations throughout the West through the Federal Surplus Property Donation Program.

Property is first made available to organizations that meet eligibility requirements established by Federal Property Management Regulations and the Arizona Administrative Code.

Public Auctions:

Property not redistributed to eligible organizations is made available to the general public through Public Auctions.

All public sales are advertised through print media and this site, so visit this site frequently for announcements of upcoming sales. A subscription mailing list is another alternative for notification of auctions and sealed bid sales.

Surplus Land:

The State of Arizona Surplus Property Management Office DOES NOT manage the sale of Surplus Real Estate including buildings and vacant land. Land, buildings, Right-Of-Way, or other Real Property that is surplus to the State of Arizona is typically sold by the Arizona Department of Transportation or the Arizona Land Department.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Surplus Property Management Office at (602) 542-5701.
