Dentists are required 40 hours every two years, 20 of which may be completed by distance learning.* Specific requirements include three (3) hours in pharmacology and internal medicine, two (2) hours in preventing and controlling infectious diseases and managing personnel health and safety concerns related to infection control in dental settings, one (1) hour in professional ethics, and one (1) hour on prescription opioids.
